Introduction
The Dept. of Social Welfare’s Ph.D. course is a cradle of researchers and practitioners.
Our faculty has achieved outstanding results in policy, practice, and administration and strives to practice student-centered education. This Ph.D. program operates a curriculum to systematically learn the research methodologies required as a researcher, such as quantitative research methodology, qualitative research methodology, and practice research. We are working hard for academic achievement by assigning campus advisors and thesis advisors to each student so that they can faithfully prepare their thesis and strengthen their competencies. Graduates are active as graduate school graduates, regional administrators, and leaders of institutions in each field of social welfare.

- Career Information
- Most of the students who take this course are already employed. However, still most graduates are pioneering a new career path after obtaining a Master's and are standing out in their field. After completing the Master's program, many of them obtained a doctorate as well and are currently working as full-time professors at universities or working as researchers in research institutes of public institutions and foundations funded by local governments.
