Introduction
The Dept. of International Logistics was established in 2006 in connection with Pyeongtaek Port, which is the only port in Gyeonggi-do located in Pyeongtaek City.
After the course was opened, companies related to Pyeongtaek City and Pyeongtaek Port, logistics companies and shippers, and many Chinese students who graduated from the Dept. of International Trade at Pyeongtaek University have taken this course. This course is a master's degree program to nurture professionals in the field of international logistics. In order to train global SCM/logistics experts, we have operated various courses in shipping and logistics, port logistics, logistics/distribution (e-commerce) systems, corporate logistics, SCM, and logistics policy.

- Educational purpose
- The Ph.D. program in the Dept. of International Logistics trains logistics experts for port logistics clusters, including Pyeongtaek Port and a port hinterland, which is expected to become Korea's No 1 port for cars. In addition, we train international logistics experts equipped with global competitiveness with logistics theory and practical skills, such as e-commerce, which are necessary for the hinterland of Pyeongtaek Port, such as Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics, and other distribution companies.
- Educational goals
- The master's program in the Dept. of International Logistics systematically studies the international logistics system that develops continuously in the rapidly changing international logistics environment. We offer a variety of courses to help students develop their skills. In addition, through logistics facilities visitation, seminars/forums, lectures by logistics CEOs, projects/research, etc., students can become international level logistics experts equipped with theory and practical skills.
- Career Information
- The Master's program is for undergraduates in logistics, trade, and other majors who can study logistics in depth. In addition, foreign students who are employed in companies or who are interested in the field of logistics can study the field of logistics in-depth through the Master and doctoral programs as well. After obtaining the Master's degree, students can find employment in government, local governments, universities, public institutions, national and private research institutes, logistics/shipping companies, and IT companies.
