Introduction
Dept. of Music
We nurture musicians with an international sense, practical knowledge, and realizing the Christian spirit through theoretical acquisition and systematic Major courses and performances for music education. The Department of Music, which commenced with the university's opening in 1980, enables students to respond to the new era by equipping them with democratic intelligence based on Christian faith and combining theoretical and practical knowledge. Also, by opening the classical guitar course for the first time in Korea, we are growing as a representative music department in the southern region of Gyeonggi-do. The Majors program is divided into three areas, piano, orchestra, and musical (vocal music). Therefore, students can learn practical skills suitable for each Major as well as subjects from other Majors.
In addition, we operate systematic classes such as the Piano Accompaniment Method, Piano Concerto, Piano Ensemble, Piano Duo, Piano Literature, Piano Solo, Chamber Music, Western Music History, Orchestra Literature, Wind Ensemble, String Ensemble, Ensemble, Choir, Opera, Oratorio, and various musical songs so that students can compete with world-class musicians.
