Introduction
The Dept. of Child and Youth Welfare trains children and adolescent leaders with the educational goal of “cultivating children and adolescent experts with professional knowledge, literacy, and various field experiences” with a focus on adolescents and childcare. We nurture manpower for the fields related to children and adolescent studies, which are rapidly emerging in modern society. The course helps students understand the developmental process of children and adolescents, explore the principles and practices of child studies and adolescent studies, and systematically explore related issues. Through the course, students can acquire the research qualities and field-related skills they need as experts in adolescent-related fields and childcare-related fields.
Adolescent guidance major
The adolescent guidance major nurtures experts who will be in charge of youth-related tasks in each field of society based on the various disciplines learned at the university in accordance with the diversification of specialization and occupations in society. We are focusing on nurturing adolescent leaders with professional knowledge who can directly encourage and help adolescents in the field to form mature personalities, achieve self-realization, and grow into healthy citizens.
We pursue the balance and harmony of theory and practical ability so that students can acquire various theories as well as guidance techniques and methods to understand adolescents. In addition, we are establishing adolescent studies through the interdisciplinary approach of related studies such as synthesis, analysis, empirical conceptualization, psychology, education, sociology, and social welfare.
Adolescent counseling major
Our adolescent counseling major aims to nurture professional adolescent counselors who can prevent and solve various adolescent problems that occur in modern society, where adolescent values and lifestyles change rapidly. Through this course, students can scientifically explore basic qualities, professional theories, and practice methods with theoretical knowledge and field application ability.
Child Care Major
In the Child Care Major, we nurture future-oriented childcare teachers who are competent and sincere in engaging in work related to child welfare and capable of guiding and caring for children, as well as professionals who can take charge of research and practice on child welfare. Students will grow into experts who provide comprehensive childcare services to children who will become the future of society.

Career Information
(Related qualifications) -
Upon graduation, students can obtain a Level 2 adolescent instructor license issued by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. They can find careers in adolescent facilities nationwide such as adolescent training centers, adolescent culture houses, adolescent shelters, specialized facilities, adolescent counseling centers, youth groups, and youth-related fields including counseling for adolescents, local governments and cultural planning.
Adolescent counselor
After students complete the adolescent counseling course and obtain a master's degree, they will be granted the qualification to take the Level 2 National Youth Counselor License Examination.
After graduation, they can find careers as an adolescent counselor at counseling-related facilities (adolescent counseling support centers, adolescent shelters, adolescent support centers, adolescent training centers, adolescent sexuality counseling centers, suicide prevention centers, and the We Center, We School, and We Class, etc.).
Child care teacher
After students complete the course and obtain a master's degree, they can get a child care teacher's license certified by the Minister of Health and Welfare.
After graduation, students can work as childcare teachers in childcare facilities (public, private, corporate, workplace, home daycare, etc.). - Others

We operate various training related to children and adolescents in connection with academic societies and specialized institutions, so it is possible to link theoretical research with field practice.
We have an active cooperation system with undergraduate and graduate alumni networks, related societies, children and youth institutions, facilities, and organizations so that students can improve their professional ability.
Students can obtain a professional psychological counselor's license after receiving training for a child and adolescent psychological counselor qualification at a related academic organization or specialized institution.
In addition, we provide a variety of training programs such as child and adolescent psychological counselor qualification training and overseas training for children and adolescents to help students connect theoretical research with field practice.
