Introduction
The global business environment of the 21st century is constantly changing, so the qualities expected of interpreters and translators are continually evolving in line with it. The Dept. of Translation and Interpreting was established to train interpreters and translators who can fulfill these needs. In particular, we are targeting the supply of experts in interpretation and translation in response to the growing demand in the Pyeongtaek area, such as the relocation of the USFK base to Pyeongtaek, the revitalization of Pyeongtaek Port, the opening of the Pyeongtaek Free Trade Port, the relocation of Samsung Electronics, and the relocation of LG Electronics. In addition, we have plans to conduct and expand Christian interpretation and translation education based on the Christian spirit that is the foundation of PTU.
